Who had a clue that just across the bay off the eastern shore of a bustling metropolis nestled a pristine beach, but with an exception. No sign of commercialization and bustling tourism. In this piece of a plot which was which was the epitome of serenity was a nice four bedroom home with a long balcony around 60 miles from Mumbai.

A perfect place for a weekend getaway. A courteous caretaker who cooked some great food was there to top it all. Rooms were also good with Aircon. The market isn't too far away from the place and a rather poorly maintained Portuguese Era Fort lies along the beach, a short drive away from the property. Overall a great place to visit over the weekend with family or friends.

A beautiful Portuguese styled bungalow by the sea. A perfect weekend getaway not too far from mumbai. If you are looking to unwind then salt rim is the place!!! It has large living room with an attic and two cozy rooms. The interiors are tastefully done up with antique furniture and a big verandah overlooking lush green lawn which opens to the beach.

There's lot to do here for everyone! You can visit the quaint fishing village nearby and the Korlai fort built by the Portuguese.. The view from top is amazing. For seafood lovers a visit to Revdanda port where fishing boats unload fresh catch is a must. For those who just want to chill, you can just sit in the verandah and enjoy your beer or walk on the beach at sunset. The bungalows caretaker will cook as per your choice but its best to have seafood. Definitely a must visit place.

Saltrim is what a beach bungalow ought to be about. Secluded beach, great sea views, stylish character, spacious interiors and excellent homely cuisine. Its a place where I reconnected with my childhood buddies and we still cherish those moments three years on.

As a repeat visitor, Salt Rim to me provides a practical opportunity to escape the hustle and bustle of Mumbai. Whether it is watching the moon provide a golden glow on the water, the fishing boats floating on the horizon or the sand plover birds playing with the waves at high tide, these are are moments which make me come back with regularity. Great fresh catch and local dishes add a rustic charm which makes the foodie in me happy. Great job Sridhar and Radhika.
